Peanuts – Peeled, soaked in water for 4 hours and roasted. Mawa (dried milk) – 1/2 cup Sugar – 3/4 cup Pistachio nuts – 6 to 7 Almonds – 4 Cashew nuts – 4 Cardamom – 4 Ghee – 1/4 cup Grind the peanuts first to prepare the Halwa of peanuts. We will grind them without water. But, you can add more water if required. Add a small amount of water. We have prepared a coarse paste of peanuts. Now, we’ll heat the pan. Take half of the ghee in the pan. Add the paste when ghee melts. Roast the paste by moving it constantly till it turns light brown in color. The paste of peanuts has turned brown. We will now remove it from the burner. Crumble the Mawa. Keep the burner in mid-flame till then. Roast Mawa till the time it turns light brown. Turn off the gas since Mawa has turned brown. Now, we will prepare the Chasni for Halwa. Add 3/4 cup water in 3/4 cup sugar. Boil the Chasni till sugar dissolves in it. Cut almonds, Pista and cashew nuts in the meantime. Now, we will mix the paste of peanuts and Mawa in Chasni. Add half of the dry-fruits in the Halwa. Cook Halwa till it becomes thick. Halwa has turned thick and is now ready. Add cardamom powder in it. Ghee is coming out of Halwa. Take it out in a bowl. Garnish it with chopped almonds and Pista. Here, we have prepared Halwa of peanuts. Barfi of peanuts can also be prepared in the same way. But, little bit of change is required in it. We have used 3/4 cup water in 3/4 cup of sugar, but in this we will use less than half cup water in 3/4 cup water. Mix all the things like roasted paste of peanuts, Mawa and dry fruits. Cook all these things till it becomes a thick paste which can be hardened. Freeze the Barfi in a tray after that. The Halwa of peanuts seems very delicious.
