you eat lots of rich food on vacation for whatever reason you may have done
some binge eating recently and need to detox I’m going to show you the
healthiest ways to detox right now hi I’m Kenny Loy and I’m a certified
nutritionist I’ve been helping people with their health since 1999 I’ve also
been a high raw vegan since 1994 we’re here to help you and going more raw to
restore energy and immunity if you’re excited about learning the best ways to

I’m going to list 5 of the best and healthiest ways to detox your body have
you like so many of us made a resolution to improve your health and either never
got to it or quit after 2 days these tips should help you complete your
resolution successfully this time I’m going to start with the easiest and work
up to the most challenging number one is the raw vegan fast now this one is
easier than the sounds simply pick a length of time to eat only raw vegan
food plan what you want to eat and make a grocery list of what you’ll need I
recommend a full day but you can work your way up to that if it’s easier for
you just start with the raw breakfast of fruit a smoothie a smoothie Bowl a green
juice or a green smoothie these are all excellent cleansers especially first
thing in the morning look in the description below for a link to a green
smoothie recipe the next day do the raw breakfast and then add a raw lunch this
time the lunch can simply be a raw vegan salad with healthy dressing prepare some
raw snacks in between meals to increase your raw portion the next day continue
to eat a raw breakfast and lunch this time add raw supper and maybe even

need some ideas there are many delicious options for raw meals and desserts as
you’ve probably seen my wife Joann she’s a raw vegan chef and she makes
some delicious comfort foods for me all the time that are raw and healthy and
delicious these are just as awesome as the original and sometimes even better
you can do a raw vegan fast for any length of time from one meal to the rest
of your life this is the healthiest food on the planet so it will improve your
health increase your energy and strengthen your immunity. it is the easiest way to
detox your body and it really doesn’t take that much discipline number two
intermittent fasting intermittent fasting is a dietary schedule that
cycles between fasting and eating it seems to be all the rage in the health
space right now and there are a handful of methods to fast this way the 16-8
method involves fasting every day for 14 to 16 hours and restricting your daily
eating window to 8 to 10 hours the 5:2 diet involves eating normally five days
of the week while restricting calories to 500 to 600 calories for two days
eat stop eat involves fasting for 24 hours once or twice a week alternate day
fasting means fasting every other day either about not eating anything or only
eating a few hundred calories the warrior diet is about only eating small
amounts of fruits and vegetables during the day and then a huge meal at night
another option is to simply skip meals from time to time when you don’t even
feel hungry you’re you’re too busy to cook and eat so if you’ve accidentally
skipped a meal you’ve done intermittent fasting without even knowing it all of
these fasting options compared to a calorie restricting diet don’t
necessarily fare any better unless the time window for eating was earlier in
the day calories eaten earlier in the day apparently don’t pack on weight as
much as the same amount of calories eaten in the evening earlier eating also
lowered levels of inflammation and gave better blood sugar control I posted a

that being said intermittent fasting is a good option if it sounds like
something you’d like to try just do some research on it and see if it’s a good
fit for you be sure and watch until the end for a bonus tip that will take your
detox to the next level number 3 is the liquid fast and the liquid fast takes a
little more discipline than the others it depends on which liquid you choose
now I’ve done all these in the past you can choose raw vegetable juice with
limited fruit juice to avoid blood sugar spikes purified water the Master Cleanse
smoothies or combination of any of these again choose your length of time whether
it be a partial day a full day a full week or even a full month I usually do
one of these fasts one two three times a month or more often if needed now if you
want to try a juice fast the healthiest way to do is to buy fresh raw fruits and
vegetables organic of course and juice them with a
masticating juicer a centrifugal juicer is not recommended because most of the
nutrients remain in the pulp which is usually discarded and the friction heat
of the blade kills most of the enzymes the masticating juicer which is gentler
with a much slower blade it keeps most of the enzymes and vitamins in the juice
where their needed. if you don’t have that just use whatever juicer you have
right now another option is to buy a fresh made juice from your local health
food store just make sure you’re not buying a juice off the shelf if it has a
shelf life longer than three days then it’s been pasteurized or cooked. cooked
juices are not cleansing and they will not help you with your detox try to
drink fresh raw juices within 24 hours to fully utilize the rich nutrients that
tend to deteriorate over time don’t wait more than three days max but 24 hours
is best the Master Cleanse is simply purified water maple syrup fresh lemon
juice and cayenne pepper now this was very popular in the
nineteen nineties when I first became vegan so I’ve done this several times it
tastes very good and depending on how much cayenne pepper you use it could
show immediate results it will flat out clear your sinuses! there’s nothing
there I didn’t really do it to, see a water fast is the most difficult by far it
can be very beneficial but I don’t recommend it unless you’re in great
health and a seasoned faster detoxification can be pretty intense and
with no nourishment it tends to make you very weak and needs lots of rest the
other fasts allow you to carry on your normal activities but this one does not
now all these liquid fats have mention so far do not contain fiber this helps
your body rest from digestion so that it can concentrate on cleansing your cells
this last liquid does contain fiber so that detox is usually less intense that
is the smoothie fast whether you’re making green smoothies or fruit
smoothies you’re blending the whole plant food so it has less chance of
spiking your blood sugar even though it does contain fiber it is broken down so
that your body can digest it easier this one might be a good one to start with if
you’ve never done a liquid fast before let me know in the
