Blender Repair – Replacing the Container Bottom (Oster Part # 148381-000-090)

Cracked container bottom on your blender? Then, it’s time to replace it. The container bottom works with the agitator
and the seal ring to prevent liquid from leaking from your blender’s jar. The plastic container bottom can weaken after
years of use and eventually crack. Over-tightening the container bottom can lead
to a cracking sooner. Replacing the container bottom is a simple
repair that you can do yourself and I’m going to show you how.Hi, I’m Mark Sodja. Do-it-yourself repairs like these are easier
than you might think, from lawn machines to cordless drills, kitchen mixers, outdoor grills,
our how-to-videos will walk you through each repair from start to finish. Doing it yourself means never having to do
it alone. Let’s get started. I’ll begin by removing the jar from the blender
and unscrewing the container bottom. Here, I have the new container bottom. I’ll swap the agitator and seal assembly over
to the new container bottom. The seal should go on top of the agitator,
not between the agitator and the container bottom. I’ll finish by screwing the new container
bottom onto the jar. Make sure you line up the threads so it doesn’t
cross-thread and don’t over tighten it or you’ll crack the base. I’ll place this back onto the blender. Be sure to check back often for new videos
and expert advise. If you find this video helpful, give us a
